I love the view the river every thing in hotel was awesom. Also, they have a wonderful restaurant in the hotel delicious and clean. Don't firget to try it, it deserves it .
excellent service, friendly and helpful staff, free drop-off and pick ups throughout our stay to nearby public transport locations
Very good restaurant.
Brought on my house dust problem. Interesting air display over the hotel arriving at airport
Wish there was a tub in the bedroom
The outdoor pool and view to the river.
It was further from downtown Portland than we thought.
great place to stay Got a weekend rate would highly recommend
Staff was absolutely lovely. Be sure to have some drinks & snacks in the bar - The food was amazing! We went totally nuts for the truffle fries with garlic sauce. Room was spacious and clean, very comfortable beds. Great view from the bar terrace over river Columbia with Mount Hood in the background.
The pool is smaller than pictured and was kind of unhygienic - The water was dirty and greenish instead of clean blue and the area surrounding the pool was carpeted ( tapis plain ) - which really put me off.
The beds and spaciousness of the rooms
The bathroom door squeaked every time we opened the door, I complained it needed some oil, nobody came and the door and my kids continued to groan every time one of us went to the washroom during the night. The air conditioner in the ceiling was leaking and the water drops fell on me at times, I informed the front desk, nobody came. The floor was wet and if I had fallen on the granite floor it would have been a disaster. The noise from parties across the hall unbelievable I had to call security and I heard the guard say he had already received numerous complaints. Finally after many hours the party was quiet. By that time my kids and I, at one in the morning were not happy just very frustrated. First thing in the morning we get woken up by a loud voice discussing the routes for cars to take. I look out the window and a car rally is being organized in the parking lot. The announcer is on a microphone blaring his information to spectators and participants. I am more tired than when I left.
Great hotel with very clean, fairly spacious, updated rooms and a nice outdoor pool, tennis courts, bar, and other amenities. Super value for the money.
Due to its location near the fitness room and outdoor exit, our room was very loud.
Beautiful rooms and loved the salsa dancing on the river. We had a great time. Thank you.
Victor, and the other staff, so friendly and welcoming. I loved the view from our suite, looking out over the pool area to the river and bridge. We even saw seals. Everything was right in the hotel. It was our 35th wedding anniversary, so we had dinner, drinks and entertainment without leaving the hotel or having to put on a coat. Thank you so much. Even breakfast and
Would never stay there again. Dont let the name "on the river" fool you. We had the worst view possible. Looked at some shipping carts in the parking lot and old mattreses. Also if you like people sitting on their balconies at one in the morning being loud and drunk, this is the place for you. Or maybe the freeway thats few feet away from your window. The fan in the bathroom doesnt work either. We were very dissapointed. Wish I had paid another $100 and stayed at a nice, quiet place somewhere. It would have been very well worth it.
Staff was supior and helpful, clean rooom, good location. Planes were a pit noisiy. Will stay again.
I chose this hotel because of the description of the view. We were given a room over looking the parking lot, that was strewn with trash blowing around. No one greeted us as we arrived or offered to help with the bags. The clerks at check in and check out were adequate, not friendly at all. I was traveling with my 84 year old mother, who uses a walker. I notified the hotel of this in advance. I find it unacceptable that help was not even offered. I suspect that as two women, one middle aged and one elderly, our arrival didn't look like a big tip prospect. However, we travel frequently and tip very well for services rendered. We won't be using your hotel, or any other Red Lion in the future.
Thank you for the train station shuttle!
Please provide vegan option for box lunch at conferences.
